Expanding Your Horizons 2015

Expanding Your Horizons is a one-day conference for middle school girls that allows them to explore career opportunities in STEM. This year's conference will take place at San Francisco State University. This conference is an excellent opportunity for women in STEM professions to give back to the community through workshops and presentations that encourage young women to explore STEM careers. Workshops & Presentations: 

Each workshop should involve at least one creative, fun, and engaging activity that requires active participation throughout the majority of the workshop duration. Workshops will have a maximum of 20 girls in attendance, and presenters will have the opportunity to conduct 1-3 workshop sessions. Lunch will also be provided for presenters. Although EYH cannot provide funding for workshop supplies, some materials will be offered through the SEPAL Resource Center at SFSU. A list of available materials can be found at the SEPAL website.

Tentative Schedule:

8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Registration
9:00 AM - 9:30AM: Keynote Speaker
9:45 AM - 10:55 AM: First Session (hands-on workshop)
10:55 AM - 11:10 AM: Break, snack provided
11:10 AM - 12:20 PM: Second Session (hands-on workshop)
12:20 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch (Provided)
1:00 PM - 2:15 PM: Third Session (hands-on workshop)
2:25 PM - 2:45 PM: Closing
